Eighth-grade Mardi Gras BBQ Details

All-Day Event

Eighth-grade students enjoy a poolside BBQ at the convent and an afternoon of games. Students should wear class t-shirt, free dress, and running shoes. BBQ lunch is provided (typically hamburgers and hot dogs). Both decorators and BBQ-ers are needed.


Committee Duties: DECORATIONS - Develop and provide a festive Mardi Gras environment for the BBQ/pool area in the convent. Utilize any existing decorations (see Mrs. Yorba) and purchase any additional decorations that may be needed (such as balloons, beads, masks, and/or hats). Chaperone the party and clean up eating area after students leave for Field of Dreams. BBQ - Organize food/drink sign-ups if needed. Utilize available budget to pay for select food items. Arrive at convent early to set up food and BBQ. Serve BBQ for the 8th-grade class and teachers!

Budget: $470 Decorations ($100) and lunch ($370) Any costs incurred above and beyond your budgeted amount will be considered a generous donation. Please submit all receipts for reimbursement, clearly labeled with your name and committee/event, to Mrs. Yorba.
