Healthy School Culture = Happy Children

Over and above the acquisition of content knowledge, importance is placed on the development of interior qualities (being), ability (knowing), capabilities (knowing how to do things), and motivations (wanting to do...).”

Every educational environment should provide an atmosphere and culture that promotes happy learners. Learners who look forward to spending time, both inside and outside of the classroom, in a loving, nurturing and encouraging place. A place that allows them to grow and experience challenges with a healthy outlook regarding what success is in terms of their individual goals.

Our learners are happy. Directed by the Educational Project of the Sisters of the Company of Mary, Saint Jeanne de Lestonnac School continually evolves to meet the needs of our learners developing the whole-child. Opportunities to enrich and challenge the status quo are provided for all of our learners. Spiritual development, social-emotional development and academic development work together to provide students with the ability to accept responsibility for their actions, be friendly and accepting as well as challenge themselves to meet goals. With robust extracurricular programs developed to be in sync with the school’s mission and philosophy, learners are provided with a wide variety of experiences to develop and grow. These programs coach participants to reach beyond their individual comfort levels balancing healthy perceptions of success with determination and grit.

We encourage families to explore all Saint Jeanne de Lestonnac School has to offer. From a well established athletics program, a dynamic theater arts program to band, academic competitions, fine arts and various after school activities centered on our youngest children, Saint Jeanne de Lestonnac School promotes a whole-child approach to developing resilient self-regulated learners. Our learners are happy and always look forward to taking part in the Student Life at our school.
