WCEA/WASC Accreditation

Saint Jeanne de Lestonnac is a fully accredited school verified by the Western Catholic Educational Association (WCEA) and by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC). It is also recognized and invited to partake in all instruction-related services that the diocese of Orange provides for its schools.

What is WCEA?

The Western Catholic Educational Association is a private educational accrediting agency established under the auspices of the Bishops of the Catholic (Arch) Dioceses of California.

WCEA's Mission:
The mission of WCEA is to promote quality Catholic education for students in our member elementary and secondary schools through an accrediting process that assures the primacy of faith formation and educational excellence.

What is WASC?

The Accrediting Commission for Schools, Western Association of Schools and Colleges (ACS WASC) is one of six regional accrediting associations in the United States. The Accrediting Commission for Schools, WASC, extends its services to over 4,500 public, independent, church-related, and proprietary pre-K–12 and adult schools, works with 16 associations in joint accreditation processes and collaborates with other educational organizations.

The ACS WASC accreditation process fosters excellence in elementary, secondary, and adult education by encouraging school improvement. WASC accreditation recognizes schools that meet an acceptable level of quality, in accordance with established, research-based WASC criteria.
