7th/8th Valentine’s Dance

Committee Duties: Ask a DJ (not a student) to make a playlist of middle school-appropriate dance music. Bring in a CD or iPad with the playlist. Decorate the SJDL cafeteria for the 7th/8th-grade Valentine’s dance. Coordinate volunteers and decoration gathering. Cover the windows and walls of the cafeteria with decorative paper in order to transform the cafeteria into a dance hall. String twinkle lights around the room because the overhead lighting will be turned off during the dance. Be as creative as possible to create a Valentine-themed party for the kids. 

NOTE: The 7th-grade Room Moms are responsible for snacks, drinks, and goody bags.

Budget: Room Parent Fund  for decorations and DJ-made dance CD. Any costs incurred above and beyond your budgeted amount will be considered a generous donation. Please submit all receipts for reimbursement, clearly labeled with your name and committee/event, to Mrs. Yorba.
