  • Saint Jeanne de Lestonnac Catholic School in Tustin, California, is seeking a dynamic, enthusiastic, and faith-filled Physical Education Teacher to join our faculty for the upcoming school year. This position will provide physical education instruction for students in Kindergarten through 8th grade, fostering a love of movement, teamwork, sportsmanship, and lifelong wellness.

    As a member of our faculty, the Physical Education Teacher will support the mission of Saint Jeanne de Lestonnac Catholic School by creating a positive, inclusive, and engaging environment where students develop physical skills, confidence, character, and respect for others.

    Responsibilities Include:

    • Plan and deliver engaging Physical Education lessons for students in grades K–8.
    • Teach foundational movement skills, fitness concepts, team sports, and recreational activities appropriate for each developmental level.
    • Encourage teamwork, cooperation, perseverance, leadership, and good sportsmanship.
    • Create a safe and supportive learning environment where all students feel valued and encouraged to participate.
    • Assess and communicate student progress in physical development and participation.
    • Collaborate with teachers and administration to support the overall educational mission of the school.
    • Promote the school’s Catholic identity and commitment to forming the whole child—mind, body, and spirit.
    • Assist with school athletic programs, events, and activities as needed.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Kinesiology, Education, or a related field preferred.
    • Teaching credential, certification, or relevant experience preferred.
    • Experience working with elementary and middle school students.
    • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
    • Ability to create engaging lessons that meet the needs of diverse learners.
    • Commitment to supporting a Catholic school mission and values.
    • Enthusiasm for helping students develop healthy habits and a lifelong appreciation for physical activity.

    Position Details:

    • Full-time position serving Kindergarten through 8th grade.
    • Part-time opportunity available for candidates interested in teaching Kindergarten through 4th grade.
