Lord,

United in Mission, United in Care - New Dismissal Procedures
At Saint Jeanne de Lestonnac School, we believe that a strong partnership with parents is essential to forming students in both mind and heart. A united school-parent culture strengthens not only our students’ academic and moral formation but also the entire school community. This year, we are excited to offer new opportunities for parents to actively engage in our educational mission—through formation nights, service initiatives, classroom collaboration, and community-building events.
As part of our focus on culture, and with our continuing commitment to student safety, we are reintroducing the on-campus afternoon pick-up procedures that were once part of our school environment. These procedures are designed to provide the highest levels of security during the most vulnerable time of the day—student dismissal—while also supporting families in managing their afternoon schedules.
Afternoon Pick-Up Procedures
To support family commitments and ensure a safe and smooth dismissal, the school day will now end at 2:45 p.m. for all grade levels Monday through Thursday.
Friday Early Dismissal at 1:30 p.m. will continue.
2:45 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.
- Preschool – 4th Grade: Parents will park in the Main Street parking lot and sign out their child(ren) at their respective classroom(s).
- 5th – 8th Grade: Parents will park in the First Street parking lot and sign out their child(ren) at their respective classroom(s).
3:00 p.m. – 3:15 p.m.
- The Main Street parking lot gates will close, and all campus access gates from Main Street will be locked at 3:15 p.m.
- At 3:15 p.m., any remaining students (K-8) will be escorted to the Extended Care facility. For safety and accountability, children will not be released once they are being escorted to Extended Care by classroom teachers.
- Students (K–8) will only be released to a parent, guardian, or designated adult (listed on the Emergency Contact list and over the age of 18) who signs them out directly from Extended Care.
3:15 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.
- Campus access will be limited to the First Street parking lot only.
- Extended Care "Grace Period" - Charges for Extended Care will begin at 3:30 p.m.
- This time is reserved for supervised after-school activities such as sports, library use, and clubs.
These procedures reflect our school’s deep commitment to providing a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for every student—especially during transition times when vigilance matters most. Thank you for partnering with us in this shared mission.
New Middle School Mock Trial Club!
We are excited to announce the launch of our Middle School Mock Trial Club, meeting Fridays from 2:00–3:30 PM, beginning this November through February.
Mock Trial is a dynamic and engaging way for students to:
- Authentically apply learning
- Develop critical thinking and public speaking skills
- Learn about the legal system and courtroom procedures
- Build confidence, teamwork, and persuasive communication
- Strengthen their writing, research, and reasoning abilities
- Discover their voice as they argue cases and deliver statements
Whether your child dreams of being a lawyer, enjoys drama, or simply wants to grow in leadership and logic, Mock Trial is a fantastic opportunity to shine!
All 5th–8th grade students are welcome. More information and sign-ups coming soon!
Building Character in Children Through Catholic Values
At Saint Jeanne de Lestonnac Catholic School, we help students grow in a vibrant relationship with Jesus Christ, pursue excellence in learning, and live a life of service according to the Gospels. A key part of this mission is forming strong Christian character—teaching virtues like self-control, kindness, courage, service and wisdom.
In today’s world, online gaming, social media, and AI can easily pull young people toward doubt, distraction, comparison, and instant gratification. By grounding students in their identity as beloved children of God, we give them the tools to make wise choices, use technology responsibly, and keep Christ at the center of their lives.
Through prayer, service, and daily practice of virtue, our students learn to balance the digital world with what truly matters—living faithfully, loving others, and using their gifts to make a positive difference. Read more Building Character, Shaping Futures: Our TEAM Approach
2025-2026 Interactive Online Platform Policy
To protect the healthy development of students, beginning Wednesday, August 20, 2025, Saint Jeanne de Lestonnac Catholic School will prohibit the use of any interactive online platform that allows communication, engagement reward or motivation feedback loops for all enrolled students. Children are not equipped to navigate the risks these platforms pose, including addiction, harmful content, and social pressure. Rooted in our Catholic mission, this policy fosters virtue, authentic relationships, and spiritual growth by removing digital distractions that conflict with our values. It is a formative measure intended to support students' dignity, integrity, and overall well-being.
