Eighth Grade Events

May Crowning Liturgy Details

All-Day Event

The eighth-grade class plans and leads the May Crowning liturgy. Each 8th-grade student must bring a handful of long-stemmed flowers to present to Mary. The Room Parent Fund covers the cost of all other decorations.

Dress Code: Eighth-graders wear FULL UNIFORM including school tie. Girls should make sure their skirts are in compliance with the uniform code. Boys should make sure their haircuts are in compliance with the haircut code. Sweaters and pants should be free of holes.

Committee Duties: Utilizing decorations already available and perhaps adding some additional items that may be needed, decorate the altar for the May Crowning liturgy. Includes the front of the stage and podiums. Set up vases to be used for the flowers for Mary (see Mrs.Yorba). Utilize budget for purchase of any needed decorations.

Budget: Room Parent Fund (see Mrs. Parker)  Any costs incurred above and beyond your budgeted amount will be considered a generous donation. Please submit all receipts for reimbursement, clearly labeled with your name and committee/event, to Mrs. Yorba.
