FAQ's

What is the Jogger Joust? The Jogger Joust is a student event sponsored by the Home & School Association. Students collect pledges (on a per lap basis or a flat donation). Preschool and PreK run in the gym for 15 minutes. Kindergarten through 8th grade students run around a designated lap on the Field of Dreams as many times as they can in a 20 minute time period. According to their pledge total, students and class may earn prizes.

When is the Jogger Joust? Friday, February 9th 2024. Parents and families are welcome to attend the event and cheer on their runners and take pictures. Event Schedule coming soon, check back for update.

Register by completing T-shirt purchase form and setting up child(ren)’s personal Jogger Joust page that they can email the link to friends and family in order to make pledges.

Why are the T-shirts required? T-shirts are required for prizes because we tally students’ laps directly on the shirts. We also use these as an additional way to raise funds in support of the event and promote school spirit.

How much are the T-shirts? T-shirts are $20 each presale (prior to January 22) for students, After January 21, t-shirts are $25 each.

Why does the Home & School Association need to raise money? Each year the Home & School Association attempts to raise approximately $200,000 to financially support the school for classroom activities, teacher bonuses, and capital improvements, which cannot be covered by tuition alone. The money raised directly benefits our children and school.

What is the minimum requirement for pledges? This year each child is asked to raise a minimum of $50 in pledges. However, we encourage each student to reach or exceed $100 in pledges in order to reach our fundraising goal. Remember, 100% of the net proceeds will benefit our school!

When are pledges due? Students have until February 16 a week after the event to turn in their pledges.

Where do we turn in the money? The first and preferred option is online by setting up your child’s personal Jogger Joust page that can be emailed to friends and family requesting pledges.  Second option is to have supporters pay you the parent and you in turn submit one check payable to St. Jeanne De Lestonnac School and submit to the front office with child(ren)’s name(s) on the memo line.  Third option, supporters can mail a check directly to the school and in the memo line provide student’s name(s).

Can we collect cash as well as checks? Yes! Please submit to the front office in a secured envelope with child(ren)’s name(s).  Checks can be made payable to St Jeanne De Lestonnac School and submitted in a secured envelope with child(ren)’s name(s). Tax donation receipts are available upon request.

Are donations of money and items tax deductible? Yes! The school is a 501(c)3 organization, so all donations are deductible to the fullest extent of the law. Your cancelled check serves as your receipt.  Home & School Association can issue donors a receipt for tax purposes if requested.

Sponsorship opportunities? There are different levels of sponsorships available. These are separate from pledges that children can raise to support the school. T-shirt sponsor(s), Cookie Medal Sponsor(s), prizes, promotional give-a-ways, and day-of snacks.
