Friendship Is a Gift

Heavenly Father,

We come before You with hearts full of gratitude for the precious gift of friendship.

You have blessed us with companions who share our joys and sorrows, who lift us up in times of need, and who walk alongside us on this journey of life.

Thank You for the laughter shared, the memories made, and the support given. In the warmth of friendship, we experience Your love and kindness reflected through the caring hearts of those You have placed in our lives.

Help us cherish these bonds, nurture them with love and understanding, and always be mindful of the gift they are. May our friendships be a source of strength, joy, and inspiration, drawing us closer to You and to each other.

We pray for all our friends, old and new, near and far. Bless them abundantly, O Lord, and may Your grace guide us as we journey together in faith and love.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

SJDL Street Hockey

Our Fourth-grade students were able to participate in the S.C.O.R.E. Street Hockey event hosted by the Anaheim Ducks at the Honda Center. The S.C.O.R.E. Street Hockey Shootout is the culminating event of the S.C.O.R.E. Street Hockey program, a free, in-school, physical fitness curriculum that currently reaches over 11,000 students in Orange and Riverside counties. The program emphasizes sportsmanship and teamwork, while teaching students the fundamentals of street hockey.

Thank you to Mr. and Mrs. Ryan together with Mrs. Tetreault for organizing and coaching the students over the last few weeks. We know that everyone had a great time and were very successful.

Campus Cleanup Day

In celebration of Spring, the Home and School Association is sponsoring a Campus Cleanup Day on Saturday, May 18, from 8am to noon. Parent volunteers will help with various aspects of the school grounds, from moving paver stones to throwing away materials and beautifying areas. Due to the nature of the work, we are requiring children from Preschool - Fourth Grade to remain at home for the morning. Fifth-Eighth Grade students can earn service hours or simply volunteer to help!
