Week of March 25

Friends Forgive

Dear Lord, please grant me the strength to release all bitterness, anger, and resentment from my heart.

Help me see my friends with Your eyes, understanding their struggles and shortcomings. Guide me in extending the same mercy and forgiveness You offer me daily. May Your love flow through me, healing the wounds in our friendship and fostering reconciliation.

Teach us to communicate with honesty, empathy, and humility. Lead us towards mutual understanding, forgiveness, and renewed trust. Help us grow stronger in our friendships, rooted in Your love and grace.

May Your peace reign in our hearts and bring us closer to You and to one another.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Loving God, I am just beginning to realize how much you love me. Your son, Jesus was humble and obedient. He fulfilled your will for him by becoming human and suffering with us. I ask you for the desire to become more humble so that my own life might also bear witness to you. I want to use the sufferings I have in this world to give you glory.

Please, Lord, guide my mind with your truth. Strengthen my life by the example of Jesus. Help me to be with Jesus during this Holy Week as he demonstrates again his total love for me. He died so that I would no longer be separated from you. Help me to feel how close you are and to live in union with you. Amen.

Rice Bowls

Each Lent, Catholic families across the country unite to put their faith into action through prayer, fasting and almsgiving. Through CRS Rice Bowl, families learn about how our sisters and brothers across the globe overcome hardships like hunger and climate change, and how through Lenten alms, we have the power to make the world a better place for all.

We would like to collect all Lenten Rice Bowls by Tuesday, March 26.  Please have your child turn these into their homeroom teacher.

Dear Parents and Guardians,

We are excited to announce that for the upcoming 2024-2025 school year, our school will continue implementing Friday Early Dismissal Days as part of our commitment to enhancing Professional Development opportunities for our dedicated faculty and staff. We value your input; with over 80% of survey respondents favoring the continuation of our Early Dismissal Fridays, it has been and will continue to be a productive time for our faculty and staff moving forward.

Friday Early Dismissal Days have proven to be invaluable in providing our faculty and administration with the time and resources necessary to complete the school’s Accreditation In-depth Study and engage in ongoing learning (AI development), collaboration, and professional growth. This initiative not only benefited our teachers and staff but also translated into a more enriching and fulfilling educational experience for your children.

During these Friday Early Dismissal Days in 2024-2025, our educators will participate in a variety of Professional Development activities derived from our In-depth study, including, but not limited to:

  1. Workshops and Training Sessions: Our faculty will engage in workshops and training sessions focused on the latest teaching methodologies, AI educational technologies, and best practices in various subject areas, especially in social-emotional well-being.
  2. Curriculum Development: Teachers will have dedicated time to collaborate on curriculum development, vertical alignment and Professional Learning Communities, ensuring that our instructional materials are engaging, relevant, and aligned with rigorous academic standards.
  3. Data Analysis and Assessment: Our educators will analyze student data, assess learning outcomes, and develop strategies to address individual student needs effectively.
  4. Guest Speakers and Expert Presentations: We will invite guest speakers and experts in education to share their knowledge and insights, providing our faculty with new perspectives and ideas.

We believe that investing dedicated time in our teachers' professional development directly contributes to the overall success and well-being of our students and the school. By continuously improving our educators' skills and knowledge, we ensure that they are equipped to inspire, motivate, and guide your children toward academic excellence and personal growth.

Please note that Extended Care policies regarding Friday Early Dismissal will remain consistent with the current 2023-2024 school year and we are actively seeking enrichment opportunities for students who require this service on Fridays in addition to Chess Club and Lego Engineering.

We will remain committed to minimizing Noon Dismissal days throughout the school year and ensuring that the school’s official 2024-2025 calendar has limited or no changes. If you have any questions or concerns about the Friday Early Dismissal continuance, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Supporting School Safety and Security

With the help and support of the Home & School Association, the school has "Gone Green" by limiting line-of-sight access to the school playground and the Field of Dreams. Through the continued support of our Home & School fundraisers and volunteer opportunities, the school is able to continue its efforts in providing the highest levels of safety and security for all our stakeholders.
