Week of April 22
I Am Valuable
Heavenly Father,
I come before You with a heart full of gratitude
For the immense love You have showered upon me.
Your love is a constant source of strength and joy,
Guiding me through life's challenges and blessings.
Thank You for Your endless mercy and forgiveness,
For the gift of your Son, Jesus Christ, who died for me.
Help me to always remember Your love,
And to share it with others in all that I do.
Blessed Mother Mary, intercede for me
That I may grow in faith and love for God,
And always be grateful for His boundless love.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Mission San Juan Capistrano
Our fourth-grade class visited the beautiful Mission San Juan Capistrano and learned about the mission system, Junipero Serra, and how the Acjachemen tribe lived. Everyone had a blast. Tom, the tour guide, mentioned, 'I’ve had a lot of schools, but your school was very well behaved.' We are so blessed to have opportunities like this, and we thank our teachers and chaperones for helping make this a great day for our students.
SJDL Alumni Honored
Congratulations to Saint Jeanne de Lestonnac School Alumni Megan Martinez for being selected as Rosary High School's Valedictorian and to Melanie Kamel for being selected as one of two Salutatorians. We are so proud of their accomplishments and we know that the spiritual and academic foundations formed at Saint Jeanne's will continue into their college and careers. May God continue to bless them and guide them in their future.
Orange County Sheriff's K-9 Unit
We would like to thank the Orange County Sheriff's Department for bringing their K-9 unit to Saint Jeanne de Lestonnac School and providing our 2nd & 4th Grade classes with an exciting and informative morning. Students were able to gain insights on the importance of the K-9 unit and what these special dogs can do.
We also would like to thank Mr. and Mrs. Esson for their help in organizing this special event.
ACING SCREEN TIME CONFLICTS
"Parenting kids has always had its challenges, but now, in the tech revolution, conflicts are at a whole new level. The good news is that research shows that conflicts done well have all sorts of benefits for youth. But how do we ensure healthier conflicts? On today’s episode, Lisa Damour, Ph.D. psychologist and author of three New York Times best-selling books about adolescents, including “The Emotional Lives of Teenagers,” shares valuable advice on doing just that. The episode explores teen psychology, common screen time arguments, and several approaches to having healthier conflicts. All this makes for compelling listening not just for parents but for adolescents as well." - Lisa Damour, Ph.D. psychologist and author of three New York Times best-selling books about adolescents, including “The Emotional Lives of Teenagers,”

Campus Cleanup Day
In celebration of Spring, the Home and School Association is sponsoring a Campus Cleanup Day on Saturday, May 18, from 8am to noon. Parent volunteers will help with various aspects of the school grounds, from moving paver stones to throwing away materials and beautifying areas. Due to the nature of the work, we are requiring children from Preschool - Fourth Grade to remain at home for the morning. Fifth-Eighth Grade students can earn service hours or simply volunteer to help!
